What is a hybrid supercapacitor?

A hybrid supercapacitor is an energy storage device that combines the properties of supercapacitors (also known as ultracapacitors) with those of batteries, aiming to bridge the gap between the two. These devices are designed to offer a balance between the high power density and long cycle life of supercapacitors and the high energy density of batteries.
